Let’s Talk About My iPod: April 2, 2007

All right, so you are probably going to notice a trend around these parts. If I write about them, I’ve probably been listening to them.
R.E.M. showed up in The Listening Room. We played the Springsteen Mix Tape game. I got some great new blues in the mail. In the middle of all that, I found time for The Byrds. Here’s the complete list.

How are you tracking all this? Do you listen to your iPod everywhere? Even at work? Or what?
if you plug your ipod into a computer, won’t itunes give you the list of what’s been played most recently?
I do listen to my iPod at work. I have a cube — well, I used to have a cube and one day might again, but that is a story for another time. I’m able to listen to music while I work and it is one of the only reasons I go to work. The other being because I need the money.
iTunes tracks it and iTunes Publisher helps me generate that information into HTML so I don’t have to type all of that by hand.
I would like to hear of the cube years!
Have you heard REM unplugged? I *think* I have stuff from their “official” unplugged album (though it may not be). Anyway, it’s really great and the version of So. Central Rain is really and truly extraordinary.
EB, I saw the show on TV and used to have a boot from it.
The cube story is a quick one: I’m halfway between a move from one cube to another. Bureaucracy, is what.
I know the iPod does that, I’ve just never worked in a place that wouldn’t ream me for wearing ear buds.
I’ve now got a real office! Of course it is in an unconverted basement, with cinder block walls concrete floors and no windows. But it’s not a cube!
Love that Unplugged episdode.
