Bloggin’ The Blues: The BMAs are TONIGHT!
I can’t believe they’re finally here. I’ve been writing about them for months now. In fact, I finished up one of the two pending reviews today. Sadly, the Michael Powers review just didn’t get done. I do have something written up on him, though, that will be showing up here on the site very soon. My Irma Thomas review is going to be published at BC Magazine today.
My dreams of live blogging the BMAs have gone out the window. I have been pressed into duty tonight and probably won’t be home until well into the ceremony. I’m disappointed about that. I really wanted to hear the entire thing and keep a running tab. What I really wanted to do was to be in Memphis at the awards show. I’m making plans to attend next year. It’s not hugely expensive, but it costs enough and requires enough planning that I needed to have started on it earlier.
As soon as I have a complete results list, I’ll be writing about the big winners for BC Magazine and will put together a little commentary for around here.
