…and everybody got to go!
This is just the coolest job in the world, really. I can claim to be workng while at the same time watching and listening to The Rolling Stones.
I’m watching their historic performance from Shanghai, China. They didn’t include the full show, but they did put a few songs from that show on the DVD. “Gimme Shelter” is still one of, if my my very, favorite Stones songs. That Let it Bleed album is a real monster. They went from “Midnight Rambler” to “Gimme Shelter.” I might have burned China down if I’d have been at that show. They sound fantastic. You really owe it to yourself to get this new set, even if you do have to get it at Best Buy.
My jaw just dropped… Keith is singing “This Place is Empty” from the Bigger Bang CD. I didn’t like it too much on the record but it sounds great in China. They sped the song up a bit and Keith sounds a lot better on it. I’ve liked Keith ballads in the past, but this is a song that sounds better when sped up.
Seriously… go buy this DVD. The review will be up soon…
