Music of the Moment: Pearl Jam – Pearl Jam

I am re-revisting Pearl Jam. That Gorge box set has temporarily warped my fragile little mind!
I’m still pretty confident this is not going to become my favorite Pearl Jam album, but I like it more today than at any time since its release. The anthem for today has been “Unemployable.” That is a great song. I’ve also fallen for “Army Reserve,” a direct result of having heard it played live on the Gorge set and “Come Back.” “Come Back” has shades of “Nothingman,” a song from Vitalogy that I just adore. It’s possible I might even like “Come Back” more, and that means it goes up there with my favorite PJ songs, ever.

I am a HUGE Pearl Jam fan, and rank this as absolutely one of the best. It is other with the other top two: their bebut, and ‘Yield’. These three are masterpieces, and nicely represent the band at different eras of their careers.
