Music of the Moment: Pearl Jam - The Gorge | July 6, 2006

I guess I’m in a “Northwest State of Mind” today, overdosing on the grunge.
It took so much time to get through all 7 discs of the Pearl Jam box set that I haven’t really been back to them since I finished, at least not often. I got in the mood for PJ after listening to Alice, Nirvana, Screaming Trees, Foo Fighters, and STP this morning — not to mention having listened to Ten earlier this week — and decided to shake the digital dust from one of the Gorge shows. For some reason I have it in my mind that Gorge #2 (the first of the 2006 2-night stand) was my favorite so I started there. I’m about halfway through the show and I’ve heard nothing to convince me otherwise, but talk to me after I listen to “Dirty Frank” and “Rockin’ in the Free World.” I’m not big on either of those songs.
