Still Singin’ The Blues…
I’m still signing the “I Ain’t Got My Laptop Blues…”
No word on when it’s going to be ready. Apparently the senior technician’s mom had surgery yesterday, so he took the day off. Why couldn’t he just let the doctor fix his mom so he could fix my laptop? Priorities, people! Oh, shut up! I’m just kidding. I do want my laptop, though.
I’ve set Robert Johnson aside for the time being, moved over to Muddy Waters — all the fire and intensity, little less haunting.
I listened to some cuts from Rollin’ Stone, The 50th Anniversary Collection, which collects his complete studio recordings for Chess from the years 1947-52. Right now, I’m listening to the live portion of Fathers and Sons. Fabulous.
