Return of The Fanboy OR… Happy Birthday To Me!
I’d like to welcome myself back to my site after a week of scant activity. The day job – yes, dear readers, I’m afraid Fanboy has not yet become a sustaining source of revenue – has been incredibly busy and I just haven’t had the time and mental focus to bring you the kind of quality content you’ve come to know and expect.
Wow, that sounds really corporate. Considering I’ve made a grand total of $1.09 on this web site – which means I’m still in the hole – I need to stop saying things like that.
The good news? I’m back. The better news? It’s my birthday, bitches! It’s my birthday and not one of you sent cards or generous material gifts or cash donations. Chalk another one up for racist white America.
In case you’re curious, I was spawned 34 years ago today. It turns out I share a birthday with Hall of Fame 2B Ryne Sandberg, Tony Soprano (James Gandolfini), and Will Smith’s wife, Jada. That’s pretty cool. It also turns out Jimi Hendrix died on this day three years before I was born, or 37 years ago. That’s far less cool.
So, today is my birthday and it also marks my return to this site. I’ve got a lot of things I want to cover in the coming days so thanks for being here – and try to remember to send a gift next year, would you ever?

happy birthday motherfucker!!
and just how do you know that nothin’ was sent your way?
feh!
Happy Happy Birthday! YAY!
Sorry about not sending anything…totally forgot that you were a September baby…
I promise to remember for next year.
Happy Birthday, Josh!
Now that I gave you b’day wishes on your special day, watch me go forget my wife’s, which is in just nine days. She needs to start a blog if she expects me to remember. Err..as long as it doesn’t post a honey-do list. Or a rant on my leaving the shitter seat up. Or telling everybody how I like to take licorice ropes, whipped cream and petroleum jelly and…
What was it I was posting about again?
I’m just barely making it before it is not your birthday, so happy birthday you sack of…
And I totally sent you the biggest, baddest boxed set of the blues the world has ever known. I can’t believe you didn’t get it. Must have been confiscated by the Chinese.
Thank you S.Rod, Saleski, Pico, and Brewster.
The birthday was solid. Work was crazy busy but TWTWIM and I had a nice night. We went out to dinner and just hung out and I got to decompress from what has been a crazy and stressful couple weeks.
Tonight I need to watch a couple of the birthday DVDs from TWTWIM: Alice in Chains Unplugged and Dogma.
I’ll stay on the lookout, Brewster.
I’m a day late, but let me be the first (on September 19, that is) to wish you happy birthday.
Happy birthday, my friend! May the music never end
