Springsteen Magic Tour 10/22/07 Chicago #2: “Thunder Road,” Two Others Debut
We can go ahead and call it a full-fledged pattern. The second night of a two-night run is where the new ones come out. Chicago’s first show had a great set list. Three songs were premiered during Chicago’s second: “Thunder Road,” “Tunnel of Love,” and “Spirit in the Night.” That’s a strong trio!
I’m shocked it took this long for “Thunder Road” to debut. I’ve been waiting for it, watching for it, and last night in Chicago it was played. That and “Spirit” might make it my favorite show on the tour. I’m going to have to go back, study these set lists, and do a “Best of Tour” so far. Up next is two nights in Oakland.

oooh….Spirit In The Night!
“Spirit” is one of my all-time favorites. It’s hard for me to decide: would I rather get “Thunder Road” and “Spirit” or “Thundercrack.” That’s the definition of a no-lose situation right there.
Hopefully Bruce will release a performance DVD from this tour. I’ve listened to a good handful of this tour’s performances, but I’d love to see the band as well as hear them.
The 22nd is already circulating and this is making me want to grab it. Love love LOVE “Spirit in the Night”.
