Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band Will Be in Atlanta April 25, 2008 and So Will I
It’s finally going to happen. I can cross one more thing off my “Things to Do Before I Die.†I’m going to see Bruce Springsteen in Atlanta in April.
I didn’t dare to undertake this mission on my own. I have what is commonly known as bad luck. This is too important to put my unlucky ass in charge, so I put ticket procurement in the hands of trusty veteran 11. Just as he promised, he has delivered with Zen-like precision.
Phillips Arena, lower level. April 25. I’ve even set up a dashboard widget on my computer to count down the days. 158 days. That seems a long way away. I don’t know what I’m going to do to pass the time.
I could spend that time memorizing every word to every song on Magic. I could come up with new variations on my “Ultimate Set List†every day until I see him. I could start an internet campaign to get certain songs played in Atlanta. I can work on a Silvio costume to wear to the show- I think 11 will shitcan that idea. Especially when I tell him he has to go as Pauiie.
Get used to this, boys and girls. You’re going to be reading a lot about my first ever trip to see Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band.
I can’t believe it’s finally going to happen. I can’t believe it has taken this long. I’m going to slap someone.

I think I’ll start an internet campaign to keep you from going
Nah, I couldn’t be that mean.
All I can say to you Josh is prepare for your life to be changed. Its one thing to love Springsteen’s music, but the live E Street Band experience is like nothing else in rock and roll. It’s like being in a room with about 20,000 of your best friends. I’m serious. There is absolutely nothing like it. I heard Lisa McKay got tix today too, and I am extremely happy for both of you. Still waiting on that Seattle announcement (the rumor mill here is sying Safeco Field sometime in late March). I’ll keep ya posted though.

Iguana Glen, I’m beyond pumped for this experience despite the potentially sad news within the E-Street Band family. This is going to be glorious.
