Springsteen Magic Tour 12/08/07 Copenhagen: “The River†Debuts
After a few days off, Bruce Springsteen & The E-Street Band returned to the stage in Copenhagen where they played “The River” for the first time.
What the hell took so long to dust that one off? I’ll admit it’s not my favorite Springsteen song, but it is a classic. His current album, Magic, has drawn strong comparisons to The River. It seemed a no-brainer to me that this one should be played and I’m kind of surprised I hadn’t noticed it wasn’t played until last night. Here’s the full set list:
Radio Nowhere

looking at these setlists has me hoping that they play “I’ll Work For Your Love” when you get to see them. what with that piano intro, it seems like a perfect concert tune.
That has become a more recent favorite of mine on that album. I’d be absolutely thrilled!
11 and I will have big signs encouraging him to play more from Magic. It really is a glorious record.
