John Lennon fans should have been accustomed to gibberish lyrics long before this song, but did they ever sound this pretty?
I’ve had a stressful morning, getting in to the Christmas shopping game as late as always this year. My head is throbbing, my blood pressure is rising, and I still have a full day of work in front of me. I’ve penciled myself in for a three-alarm coronary around lunch time.
“#9 Dream” is trying to push back on some of the stress. If it works for Bruce Willis in the Die Hard movies, surely it will work for me. He is singing “Yippy-kie-yay, motherfucker,” isn’t he? He’s not? Well, fuck. That shoots a hole in my theory. I better try listening again.
