Pushing Elephants Up The Stairs
That’s right, kids, I’m writing from the great beyond — or at least, the internet equivalent to it. I’m going to have to have one of those getups where a fella can get online anytime, any place because my ass is going through serious withdrawal symptoms. It’s not even funny.
S. Carolina is great (rainier than fuck, but still good) and time with friends has been fabulous, even if it’s meant that I’ve had to detox from the ‘net. We exchanged Christmas gifts with them and I’ve added another CD to my collection: George Harrison’s Concert for Bangladesh. I’ve had the chance to listen through to the first disc and part of the second. Me likey.
While I was waiting for TWTWIM and our friend to finish dinner, I strolled into the indie music store next door to the restaurant where we ate. I asked one of the guys in there a Radiohead question and, over the course of our chat, he turned me on to the soundtrack to Paul Thomas Anderson’s There Will Be Blood. The soundtrack was scored by Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood. I can’t wait to check it out. I’ve really not had the chance to veg to music since we’ve been here, but I have an 8 hour car ride home just for that.
Be sure to check out Glosslip Radio on BlogTalk Radio tonight; I’m scheduled to do some co-hosting and it should be a lot of fun.
