Confessions of a Fanboy

I had no idea when I started the site I'd spend as much talking about McCartney as I have in these first months. Among the topics covered: his very good new album. I’m quite pleased with the way the review turned out and somewhat annoyed with the response I got to it. Apparently, and I’ve had this happen to me on more than one review, it’s against the law to like an album and still find flaws with it. I wrote what I believe is a very positive review of the album and about the only comments I’ve gotten are from people who focused on the one or two weaknesses I identified. Fuckin’ hell, it’s not like I’m trashing everything like Pitchfork. Oh, well.

Happy Birthday, Sir Paul. Just for the record, I like the new record.
