Let’s Talk About My iPod: All Beatles, All The Time
Welcome to the latest installment of “Josh Hathaway Has No Life.”
TheWifeToWhomI’mMarried was recovering from our insanely busy weekend, leaving me to my own devices tonight. What did I do with all that free time? I’m glad you asked. I’ve been tagging Beatles songs in my iTunes music library, making it possible to separate the John, Paul, George, and Ringo songs easily in my playlists.
I mostly did this to separate out George’s songs because George has slowly become my favorite Beatle. TWTWIM, who for reasons beyond my comprehension says she doesn’t like The Beatles, likes George best. I’ve always admired him and thought he got the short end of it all, but the more I’ve listened to him these past few weeks the more I’ve come to enjoy and respect his work.
My iPod can now create playlists that mix the Beatles and solo works of each of the four members. Right now, I’m listening to the George playlist I created. This is a staggering display of geekery, and yet I’m thrilled with my handiwork.
It’s nearly time for bed. I can end the day feeling like I’ve really accomplished something.
