Springsteen Hiatus: Tuatara, Nick Moss, and More This Week
Here is a post for those of you wondering if I’m on the Bruce Springteen payroll or if I’m capable or interested in writing about anyone else.
We’ve got a couple big releases from Fanboy favorites this week that we’ll be covering as we continue to follow our hero Bruce Springsteen around the US from the comfy confines of my Huntsville apartment (the seats aren’t as good but it’s a hell of a lot cheaper).
Two of my favorite indie labels are releasing records this week: Fast Horse Recordings – the label run by Barrett Martin – is releasing Tuatara’s West of the Moon. West is the companion piece to East of the Sun, which was released back in June (I’m listening to it again as we speak).
The other big releases for this week are coming courtesy of Blue Bella Records. Nick Moss & The Flip Tops’ wonderful new double album Play it ‘Til Tomorrow tops that list. The other three Blue Bella releases come from Flip Top Gerry Hundt (Since Way Back, The Kilborn Alley Blues Band (tear Chicago Down), and Bill Lumpkin (Hard Pill to Swallow).
It’s a big week for the indies this week and you’ll read all about them here. It’s time for me to get back to watching some fuckin’ Kevin fuckin’ Smith. Oh, and how ’bout them Red Sox? World Series, baby!

Thanks, man. I think I’ve about overdosed on Springsteen.
Watch it, Peanut Gallery.
Jeez, and I didn’t even mention the Diamondbacks. So rude!
Rude? That’s me at my nicest.
Besides, the Springsteen OD will continue when the tour resumes in NJ later this week.
Don’t mention the D-Backs to my brother, a bitter Cubs fan. My Sox are still alive and kicking!
the diamondbacks? you mean like those other fake teams like the rockies, and various florida abominations?
