Watermelon Slim Week, Day 5

We bring Watermelon Slim Week to a close with something of a sequel to yesterday’s Day 4 post. Yesterday, I gave you the Cliff’s Notes version of his self-titled record. Today, I’m doing the same thing with The Wheel Man. Again, you should really just take the plunge and buy the album in its entirety.
| The Wheel Man | The title track is a great way to open this record, and features the talents of Watermelon Slim and Magic Slim. This one is loaded with great guitar. |

| Black Water | Another great example of Slim’s slide guitar prowess and a strong vocal performance, too. |

| I Know One | This one just has a fun vibe to it. It’s probably not the best song on the record, but it has an instant catchiness to it. |

| Rattlesnake | Watermelon Slim can play some mean slide guitar. He can also play blow a mean harp. |
