Confessions of a Fanboy

I didn’t get that piece finished — got a call from a friend. BTW… I’ve seen pictures from the wedding and to quote Otis Rush… Cold Day in Hell before those see light of day, at least on my watch.

Anyroad, I didn’t get that finished but as I was talking to my friend I was scanning my CD tower and I just got this urge to dust off so many of my discs that have not been properly listened to in awhile. I want to finish this Otis disc. I want to listen to the Satriani Live! set that came out last year. I wasn’t super impressed with it, but I like the cover and I love Joe’s playing and for some reason that is what I’m in the mood to hear.

I also got into a conversation about The Bealtes’ “White Album” and its virtues and flaws. I’d like to listen to about half of that album again. Fortunately, I got a nap after work so the fact that I’m writing this in the wee hours is not quite as nuts. Unfortunately, it’s way too late for me to stay up listening to all that music. I’d really like to take tomorrow off. I kind of need a day to re-charge my batteries. A day of sitting and immersing myself in music would be a fabulous way to do that.

I’m going to give myself a few minutes to try to finish that other piece I referenced and then I’m off to bed. Tomorrow is going to be long and filled with suckitude.
