“Walk On” to the “Eclipse”

I just realized something: the end of U2’s “Walk On” has a lot in common with Pink Floyd’s “Eclipse!” Guess what I’m off to listen to now?

Pink Floyd’s "Eclipse"

U2’s "Walk On"

All that you touch

All that you see

All that you taste

All you feel.

All that you love

All that you hate

All you distrust

All you save.

All that you give

All that you deal

All that you buy,

Beg, borrow or steal.

All you create

All you destroy

All that you do

All that you say.

All that you eat

And everyone you meet

All that you slight

And everyone you fight.

All that is now

All that is gone

All thats to come

And everything under the sun is in
tune

But the sun is eclipsed by the moon.

All that you fashion

All that you make

All that you build

All that you break

All that you measure

All that you steal

All this you can leave behind

All that you reason

All that you sense

All that you speak

All you dress up

All that you scheme€

  1. Something else they have in common; two fantastic, gorgeous songs.

  2. Well, there’s that, too. Try listening to them back-to-back sometime. Fantastic!

  3. i think back to back, followed by a mash-up would be pretty cool…if i was technologically adept enough to create one.

    …which i’m not.

  4. I’m not either, but you’re right. You could mash those up and do something very cool. Someone call Sahm!
