Music of the Moment: Bruce Springsteen - “Thunder Road”

“You’re thinking maybe we ain’t that young anymore.”
It’s going to sound extraordinarily silly, but I understand that line tonight. I’ve been working some longer hours at the day job trying to meet some accelerated deadlines. The extra money is nice, but I feel a bit like a zombie.
I’d love to have the energy to roll down the window and let the wind blow through my hair, but I want nothing more than some peace and quiet and my bed.
Thunder Road is just going to have to wait until this has passed.
