Music of the Moment: Barrett Martin - “Afterlife Architecture”
I woke up this morning with Queensryche’s “Anybody Listening?” in my head; I haven’t listened to Empire in ages so I don’t know where that came from. I dismissed the notion and listened to John Lee Hooker this morning, but “Anybody Listening?” was still lurking. I listened to it and went back to listen to “Jet City Woman.” I was nearly halfway through “JCW” when I started hearing the saxophone line to “Afterlife Architecture” in my head. That was it for Queensryche, for now anyway.
If all goes according to plan — and when has that ever happened — I should be able to start work on another article based on my interview with Barrett Martin last week. The first one, outlining the upcoming releases from Fast Horse, is already live at BC Magazine.
