Music Of The Moment: Richard Hawley - Lady’s Bridge
I’ve been meaning to do this for three weeks now, but I’ve finally undertaken a full review of Richard Hawley’s Lady’s Bridge. I’m probably halfway through the review and it’s not a bad piece of writing, if I may be so immodest. The record is better than the review, but that’s as it should be.
Anyway, I’m one of those cunts who can’t write about one record while listening to another so I’m listening to LB right now. I’m not complaining when I say that. It’s a fantastic record. You should be listening to it, too. I guess I’ve given away the review, haven’t I? You should still read it when I’m done. It should go live today or tomorrow.

lookin’ forward to it.
no…really!
Thank you, Mark. That you appreciate my writing more than my taste in music is one of the reasons you’re allowed to stick around here (the Red Sox being the other).
It’s almost done and should go up today.
i don’t think you have bad taste in music, i just don’t happen to like some of what you do. it sort of reminds me of the umpteen times i’ve been told “what?! you don’t like Roxy Music?!!”
yea, sorry…i just don’t.
I’ve never actually said I don’t like Roxy Music, just that I haven’t given them much listen. I am not anti-RM, I’m just not pro RM… yet. I may still move into the Roxy Music Fanboy camp one day.
