Springsteen Magic Tour 03/14/08 Omaha, NE: Conor Oberst Cameos on “Thunder Road”
This would have been a show to miss, at least for me. I don’t covet Conor Oberst aka Bright Eyes. The first time I hear “Thunder Road” in concert better not include that ass clown. That’s all I’m sayin’.
Otherwise, no “Nebraska” in Nebraska. I guess it would have been too obvious, although he did play “Reason to Believe” from Nebraska. Turns out, too, this is the first Omaha show since 1978. These folks have been waiting a long time and they’ve already figured out the new code for the tour: bring signs! “Jungleland” and “Detroit Medley” both got played because Bruce spotted the signs.

Pure genius, regarding your comment on that “built like a 12 year old girl” emo freak Oberst. I was so relieved when Tracy Chapman replaced his no talent ass on the Vote For Change stop I caught in Orlando. The clip of the Thunder Road “duet” on youtube proves that my relief was well founded.
I’ve purposely avoided that YouTube clip. There is nothing good that could possibly come from that. Fuckin’ yuck.
