Glen Phillips’ Secrets Of The New Explorers
There are days it’s just not going to happen and you have to learn to recognize them. I started listening to Glen Phillips’ new EP Secrets of the New Explorers with the intention of getting started on a review of it. It became clear to me I was not going to be able to mentally focus my energies in that direction due to general fatigue and malaise as well as the intrusion of unpleasantness on the personal front.
I hate that I’m not mentally prepared to consider new music right now, and not just because of the personal nonsense presently blocking me. So while I’m not working on a review of new Glen music, I’m revisiting a few favorites from his previous solo records as well as a few Toad favorites.
I did listen to the EP and it pleased me. Beyond that I don’t yet have anything to say on the subject. You can get a copy of the Secrets EP from Glen’s web site. It is available on CD as well as in multiple digital formats, all without pesky DRM restrictions. I encourage you all to check it out while I attempt to extricate my cranium from my anal cavity. I hope I’m soon in a better place to process, receive, enjoy, and be moved my the record myself.
