Springsteen Magic Tour 3/14/08 Houston, TX: “Cadillac Ranch” Opens, “Terry’s Song” Debuts, Joe Ely and Alejandro Escovedo Cameo

Is there any song more perfect to open a show than “Cadillac Ranch?” I can’t think of it if there is. Damn, I wish that would have been saved to open for us in Atlanta. I love that one. Houston also got “Rosalita,” “Tenth Avenue Freeze Out,” and the 2008 premiere of “The E-Street Shuffle.”

“Terry’s Song,” an unlisted track at the end of Magic, got its debut because April 14 would have been Terry Magovern’s 68th birthday. Magovern was a friend of Springsteen’s for 23 years and he passed away last year.
