Springsteen Magic Tour 05/22/08 Dublin: Ireland Goes To “The Promised Land”
They started in “The Promised Land,” but the set list got real ordinary real quick. For those of you who’ve missed my daily chronicles of the Springsteen Magic tour, fear not! We have returned because Bruce & Co. have returned. Yesterday’s show drew on two Springsteen albums I don’t entirely love: Born in The U.S.A. and The Rising.
The best part about the Dublin show is the return of the rocking “Reason to Believe.” I’d pay good money to hear that one song one more time. That’s the best thing he’s doing on this tour, I’m convinced of it. Damn did that ever smoke! Here’s the full set list:
The Promised Land
Radio Nowhere
Lonesome Day
Out in the Street
Gypsy Biker
Magic
Reason to Believe
Candy’s Room
Prove It All Night
Darkness on the Edge of Town
Because the Night
She’s the One
Livin’ in the Future
Mary’s Place
Waitin’ on a Sunny Day
The River
Devil’s Arcade
The Rising
Last to Die
Long Walk Home
Badlands
ENCORE
Thunder Road
Born to Run
Bobby Jean
Tenth Avenue Freeze-out (w/ Southside Johnny)
American Land

Josh
I just wanted to let you know about a new Ireland-focused Springsteen project.
A book called ‘Springsteen in Ireland’ will track Bruce’s connections, gigs and haunts in Ireland over the last 25 years.
We are also looking for fans’ stories, memories and pictures.
Please drop us an email if you are interested in contributing something and pass this message on if you can!
All the best
Greg
