Springsteen Magic Tour 06/16/08 Dusseldorf, GER Set List: Power Outage Interrupts “Jackson Cage”

Someone forgot to pay the light bills in Germany or someone really hates “Jackson Cage” because the band’s attempt to open the Dusseldorf show with that cut from The River was thwarted when the power went out. It looked like the latter when the band opted to play “Night” instead of finishing “JC” when the power returned. It started to look like the former when “Radio Nowhere” was also interrupted.

The set list isn’t all that interesting beyond “Jackson Cage” to open. “Mary’s Place” and “Working On the Highway” continue to be a 1-2 punch to the groin. He’s just not going to stop playing that and I’ll never know why.

  1. Hi Fanboy and Fanboy’s fans

I’m working on a new project for Irish fans and fans who have seen Bruce in Ireland. It’s going to be turned into a book.

I’ve already had loads of support from Point Blank, members of the Greasy Lake community and the Irish media.

If anybody has a story and/or pictures which they would like to feature in Springsteen In Ireland, would they please email springsteeninireland@googlemail.com

The book will track all the connections between E Street and Ireland, and will also include as many fans stories as possible: meetings with Bruce; stories about hanging around the Merrion; experiences of getting to/enjoying concerts and thoughts on why Bruce is just so big in Ireland.

    Thanks in advance!
    Greg

  2. Don’t talk to me about power outages. We spent almost eight hours without on Deadliest Catch night. Criminal, I tell ya.

  3. Sounds kinda like Lawrence Kirsch’s book done Irish style.

    Best of luck though.

    -Glen
