B-Sides Concept Album Program Tonight 10 PM: Down With Emo
I don’t know why I haven’t thought of this before, mostly because that’s an impossible question to answer. I’m not a master logician, but I’m pretty sure it’s impossible to know why you didn’t think of something before you thought of it. I love starting my posts way out here and then somehow finding a way to transition back to where I originally intended. It makes for longer articles, but I’m not charging by the word.
Anyway what I can’t believe I hadn’t thought of before is doing a Thursday preview of what’s coming up on my BlogTalkRadio show, The B-Sides Concept Album. I’m going to try to remember to do this weekly. That way you’ll know what’s coming up and you can be ready to call in and participate.
So tonight we’re going to discuss the proposed Russian emo ban.
We’re also going to talk about the U2 re-issues. We talked about them a lot with 11 and El Bicho back when they were rumors. Now we have the actual things, so we’ll talk about the pros and cons of Boy, War, and October in their deluxe, remastered edition.
If time permits and the spirit moves me, we may well hit some Buddy Guy. Guy released a new album this week, Skin Deep. I may also spend some time discussing Mark Knopfler. Seeing him concert last Tuesday has put his music front and center with me, so that may end up on the broadcast as well.
