Springsteen Magic Tour Set List 08/16/08 Charlestown, SC: “Double Shot of My Baby’s Love” Debuts, Opens The Show
We begin and end with cover songs. Fuckin’ great.
Okay, I’m over it. We get two songs from my Countdown list tonight, “Spirit In The Night” and “Because The Night.” Those are a couple of good ones. “Jungleland” is back where it belongs in the encore, along with “Rosalita” and “Born to Run.” That’s a stout encore, including the rarely played “Streets of Fire.” It’s always a good thing to see “Atlantic City” being played and that was there, too, along with “Growin’ Up” and “Janey Don’t You Lose Heart.”
Honestly, this is a fine set list and I’m sure I’d have lost my mind were I there to hear this but it’s not the set I’m hoping for in Atlanta. There are some great songs on this set to be certain, some of which I’ve heard and others that would be firsts. I can’t put my finger on what’s missing from the song selection, but there’s something about it that just doesn’t fire me up. We’ll give this one a strong grade and chalk it up merely to my personal preferences that I’m not doing backflips.
Since you’re going to ask, yes, he played “Mary’s Place.”

this is interesting because many people have commented that this might be the best show of the tour.
ah, don’t worry. he’s gonna play Cadillac Ranch in nashville, i can feel it.
From a set list perspective I disagree with them. I obviously can’t speak from a performance perspective.
“Cadillac” in Nashville would be huge, huge, huge.
