Beat The System: Sold Out So What In The Treehouse Fort
One of these days I’m going to create a Wiki for this site so folks who jump in midstream can catch up on the inside jokes and cast o’ characters. Speaking of characters, no one embodies that term better than deposed BC Magazine Sports Editor Matthew T. Sussman (some folks call him Matt, I call him Suss). Okay, he resigned more than actually being deposed but I like referring to him as deposed. Make it so.
Suss has lined up a great guest for his sports’ show on BlogTalkRadio, Treehouse Fort, and it has some musical tie-ins, so I politely command you all to listen on Saturday. Max Deale, author of Sold Out So What will be his guest on The Fort. The book is basically a how-to on getting into sporting events and concerts even if it says they’re sold out, and how to avoid ticket brokers’ outrageous prices when it comes to sitting close.
Suss assures me music people will hate the second half of the show when it returns to a sports-based theme. I’ve heard his show. He’s probably right. He doesn’t talk about real sports anyway, what with all the curling and soccer shtick. Everyone knows Alabama/Clemson is the only sports story that matters this weekend- everyone but Suss.
