The Shopping Chronicles: Scott Weiland’s Happy In Galoshes
If you’re at all curious about Scott Weiland’s new record Happy in Galoshes, you should know that it’s available in two formats. There is a standard 1-CD package available everywhere. Satan Best Buy has an exclusive 2-CD edition that not only adds eight additional songs, it actually changes the running order of the album slightly. Even though I hate to admit this, I bought the Satan Best Buy exclusive 2-CD edition. I hate even more to admit that I’m glad I did because some of those extra songs are really good.
I’m actually surprised how much I’ve enjoyed this album. “Crash,” a song available on both editions of the album, might be my favorite so far. Of the bonus tracks, “Sometimes Chicken Soup” stands out as a favorite.
On an unrelated note, how stupid is it for Satan Best Buy to have an exclusive edition of Happy in Galoshes and not have a couple copies of his first solo record, 12 Bar Blues, in stock. I can tell them this much: I’d have already bought a copy from them if they had. I’ll be ordering one from Amazon on Thursday when I get paid. Idiots.
