Former Screaming Trees Drummer Barrett Martin On B-Sides Concept Album Program Tonight at 10 PM EST
Drummer, composer, and independent label owner Barrett Martin will join me on the B-Sides Concept Album program on Blogcritics channel on Blog Talk Radio tonight at 10 PM EST/9 PM CST.
Before going solo and founding his Fast Horse Recordings label, Martin drummed for the seminal ’90s band Screaming Trees and was also the drummer for one of that decade’s supergroups, Mad Season. Mad Season featured the vocal talents of Layne Staley (Alice in Chains), Mike McCready (Pearl Jam), and Mark Lanegan (Screaming Trees). He is a founding member of the band Tuatara, joined by R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck.
Fans of ’90s music won’t want to miss this. Barrett Martin had an insider’s view on a lot of the great music of that decade. This is going to be a hell of a lot of fun as we hear Barrett tell tale of the good ol’ days as well as learning more about the incredible work he’s doing now.
