Music of the Moment: Counting Crows - Saturday Nights & Sunday Mornings
It took a hell of a lot longer to get this done than I wanted and it has put me further behind but I feel so much better now. I’ve finished the second part of my interview with Adam Duritz and you can read both parts over at BC Magazine (Part 1 and Part 2). The good news is that I got to spend the evening listening to the record again and it is such an awesome record. I missed a lot of the nuance and impact of “On Almost Any Sunday Morning” until Adam spent so much time explaining it. I have a new appreciation for that and “You Can’t Count On Me.” In fact, I’ve taken a rather strong liking to the entire Sunday Mornings side of that record. I hate to set it aside again, but I’ve got Springsteen, Mudcrutch, Portishead, and Dan Wilson writing to do. I doubt much of that will get done tonight, but…
