Norah Jones’ Sonic Perfection
It’s been a stressful two weeks in FanboyLand, and this morning was no exception. I’ll not bore you with my trials and travails, but I will tell you I found the sonic salve for it: Norah Jones’ Not Too Late.

As I mentioned earlier today, I’ve been revisiting some of my favorite songs and albums from 2007 because of the conversation I had last night with a number of great writers and columnists on the B-Sides Concept Album radio program. One of my favorite albums from last year was Jones’ Not Too Late.
I’m thankful for this record not just because it’s one of the best things I heard in the calendar year. I’m thankful for its soothing, healing properties. My world has felt a little too chaotic and a little too big for me these past weeks. These songs and TheVoice have made things feel just a little more okay than they did before I started listening to it. I think I’m going to make it- and if I don’t, I may not care quite as much. As Jack Nicholson said in Batman, “Go with a smile.”
