Pick Up The Pieces and Go Home: Springsteen, Counting Crows, and Dan Wilson
It wasn’t supposed to be like this.
I had planned to start ramping things up around here centered on my upcoming trip to Atlanta on Friday to see my very first Bruce Springsteen concert. That sad passing of “Phantom” Dan Federici, combined with my conversation with Adam Duritz, kind of halted that momentum.
Now I need to finish carving up the Duritz interview (the first installment is already live), prepare to interview Dan Wilson on Thursday, and get my mind ready for a Springsteen show.

A first Springsteen concert is quite the religious experience. Shalom!

i will be riding that setlist thread hard on friday night!
Yeah, you need to ramp up your anticipation again.
Tampa was absolutely fantastic. If Bruce gives you in Atlanta much of what he gave us in Tampa, your first Springsteen concert will be one for the ages.
I’m working on my review, but I wanted to comment here to give you a heads up. There were indeed some solemn moments, but Bruce came with fire in his veins, amped up and ready to rock. Enjoy yourself on Firday.
