Springsteen Magic Tour 03/22/08 Cincinnati, OH: “Glory Days” and “Lost in the Flood” Debut

Raise your hand if you saw that one coming! “Glory Days” is not often performed despite its hit status in the ’80s and hadn’t been played on this tour… until Cincinnati.

According to the report at Backstreets, the Cincy show was a little bit suckass. Majority opinion according to them is that Bruce raced through the show at breakneck speed and the energy was lacking. You can believe that if you want. If you were there, feel free to give us your review. In the meantime, here’s the full set list:

Lonesome Day
Gypsy Biker
Magic
Reason to Believe
Candy’s Room
Prove It All Night
She’s the One
Livin’ in the Future
The Promised Land

  1. The Cincy show was great- just a tad shorter than some of the others. Contrary to over-egaggerated reports, it was far from a “phoned in” performance. I was at the Columbus and Cincy shows and both were great in their own way; Cincy had Lost in the Flood, Be True, a smoking Prove it All Night, and a suprise Kitty’s Back while Columbus had, well, just look at the setlist…

  2. JRL, I appreciate the comments. I’d heard there were some mixed opinions on the Cincy show and I’m very glad to hear from someone who was actually there.

I can’t imagine the show being bad, but I’ve yet to see him… ever. My first show is weeks away (Atlanta).

    Thanks for checking in.

  3. The Cincy show was tremendous. It was Agressive, tight, and rockin.

  4. There was definitely NO lack of energy in Cincy.
It was a fantastic show and everyone around us had a super time.
This was the first time my husband and I had seen the band in concert so we were excited. The Boss and the band did NOT disappoint. To hear Glory Days was a treat according to some around us who had seen Bruce many times. Kitty’s Back
was an amazing gift…that is how we look at it. A gift.
I have been gushing about this show ever since. If it was an off night than damn. I will have to see him again soon. I can not imagine it being any better or him working any harder.
Enjoy your concert in Atlanta. You are in for a wonderful experience.

  5. Thanks for the feedback, Josh. Your blog is a great read and you are in for a real treat when the Atlanta date rolls around. Going from Bruce’s past performances down there (including the premieres of Valentine’s Day and American Skin), I predict that it’ll be a very special night, indeed- plus the added lustre of being your first show (a momentous, and possibly life altering, occasion in itself!).

  7. Sorry for the double post!

  8. JRL, no worries on the double (I’ll go in and take care of it later). The server has been a touch wonky today for some reason.

I’m glad you’ve found the site and thank you for your comments.

My concert co-hort and good friend 11 saw one of the Atlanta shows on the reunion tour and said the set list was pretty crazy that night. I think he’s seen him in Atlanta twice, the other being on Tom Joad. Anyway, I’m expecting the unexpected and can’t wait to finally see him.
