Yeah I’m just home now.
And tonight was fucking amazing. Trapped was the very first song
(there were several signs for it in Portland), and it just got better
from there. Point Blank was without doubt the jaw-dropper. But there
was also 10th Avenue and Rosalita came out tonight as well.
So heres the deal. I have no voice left tonight. None. I’ve been to 34
Bruce shows, and I would rank tonight in the top five.
Tonights setlist gets a huge thunbs up from me. And by the way — did
I mention that I have absolutely no voice left?. That would be as in
None.
Which is always a good sign.
But last night in Portland was pretty great too. The guys on
Backstreets who kinda poo-pooed that show dont know what they are
talking about. The crowd in Portland was off the fucking charts (much
more so than in Seattle who got the better setlist). For You into Lost
In The Flood was A-maz-ING. Trust me, it was.
SO my original plan was to write this up for BC tonight, but I just
can’t do it. I am fucking DEAD right now. If I tried to write this
now, it would suck. And suck bad.
But it will be written up sometime tomorrow as a Rockologist column,
because I’ve decided that I want to put tonight into perspective and
get into some history.
Tonight I met up with a bunch of old Bruce buddies, hung out, and had
a fucking amazing time.
And don’t trust Backstreets about Portland okay? It’s Like that whole
“Brucefan” thing you and Josh always talk about. They are absolutely
full of shit. They are way, way too nerdish about shit. Take it from a
hardcore Bruce fan. Portloand fucking ripped,
Portland, on a fan level rocked way more than Seattle.
Seattle just got the dream setlist (which by the way, I have a copy of
– Glory Days and Thunder Road were supposed to be in the 10th and
Rosey spots).
So I’ll write more tomorrow when I can actually, you know — write.
As for tonight, my voice is gone and I have had a fucking amazing weekend.
I’ve seen 34 of these things as of tonight, and Seattle is an esay top 5.
More when I can acruallly think, and better yet, write.

It took me almost the entire song to realize I was listening to TRAPPED….and then it was over…just like that. Holy shit…TRAPPED. That was my 19th show and Holy Shit. Unbelieveable. And then Point Blank.
A Jersey girl in Seattle does not get much better than I had last night.
I have never been jealous before. Great set list and sounds like a great show, guys!
Historic show !
