Theme Song for Super Tuesday, Part II: Radiohead - “Electioneering”
I trust I can rely on your vote…
I had forgotten about this gem. I’d just listened to “Hit The City” for the sixth or seventh time and was looking for something to listen to. I decided on my random Radiohead playlist, which by the way hasn’t been very random because it’s rolled off four consecutive OK Computer songs. The fourh of those songs was “Electioneering.”
So it is Super Tuesday and Alabama is now a Super Tuesday state and I’m still an undecided voter. That’s rare for me. I usually know who I like at this point. All I know right now is who I don’t like, which is pretty much all of them. I’ve still got six hours until the polls close, though. The only candidate I know I’m not going to vote for is Sen. Clinton. Everyone else is a possibility. So is staying home and waiting until it’s sorted out in November.

i wasn’t undecided. i didn’t vote.
Does not undecided mean you have/had a preference for an actual candidate on the ballot or does it mean you decided you didn’t like anyone and decided not to vote?
oh, i have a preference….i dunno, i just didn’t care.
it may just be me.
Fair enough.
i should get extra points for being in a foul mood and saying nothing about OK Computer.
My preferences are for Obama the politician and Alice Cooper’s “Elected” the song.

There is also Norah’s “My Dear Country,” but it’s not sinister enough for me.

Whoever uses Alice Coopers “Teenage Lament ‘74″ on myspace, facebook, or u-tube as a background to a stirring speech gets my vote.
