With the rescheduled show in Ft. Lauderdale, the band has now made good on all dates scheduled for the spring US leg of their Magic Tour. It’s been one hell of a run as new songs were debuted along the way and new songs were played in the opening spot. It also turned […]

I’m told it’s everything a man could want and I shouldn’t complain
The caffeine has failed me. I’m in a stupor. I’m in a daze. Fuuuuuuuck.
I’ve been productive at work but we’re fast approaching that threshold of diminishing returns. I’m now doing everything twice because the first attempt is undermined by my […]

I never had any doubt but I have become that guy. Yet another set list that wasn’t as cool as what we got in Atlanta. “For You” was a nice inclusion here tonight as was “Adam Raised a Cain,” but there’s nothing here that makes me prefer this show to my own. […]

“Come on, let’s get into character.”
This will come as no great surprise to any of you, but tonight’s BSCA is all about reliving the experience of seeing Bruce Springsteen for the first time. 11 should be able to join the fray tonight. It wasn’t his first show, but his expert piloting brought us […]

I can’t deny this is one hell of a one-two punch to open the show, but I still like what we got in Atlanta. “Reason To Believe” is a great opener (you can see the Atlanta opener via the YouTube). I like this set list a lot, but there are a few (in […]

Okay, so while he did play “The Promised Land,” this isn’t it. Some God-fearing soul captured the video tribute to Dan Federici (the video is set to the song “Blood Brothers”) and the opening song of the night: “Reason to Believe.” “Reason” is performed as a roadhouse blues number and is one of […]

I’ve been replaying the night in my head for nearly 48 hours now, trying to condense it all into a few thoughts and words. Good luck. I’ll come as close to that as possible in the coming days and I’ll share it all with you, but in the meantime here is the setlist […]

…and then it happens.
Six months of waiting — years of waiting, really — and the day finally arrives. The day arrives and then you arrive. Atlanta. I hate this fuckin’ place. You arrive and you get gouged for a Coke in the CNN Center. You watch some silly 20somethings take […]

The countdown is over. It’s finally here. I’ll soon be getting in the car and heading for Atlanta to see my first ever Bruce Springsteen show. Because I’m a very bad man I’m tempted to fill this post with all sorts of virginal imagery and how there’s nothing like the first time. […]
