I am a complete dolt for taking chart performance personally, but I am play-in-traffic depressed that Linkin Park had the best first-week sales of any record this year with sales topping 623,000. Meanwhile, Wilco scored their second Top 10 debut as Sky Blue Sky debuted at #4, selling 87,000 copies.
I wouldn’t like Wilco any […]

One of the original series planned for this site was “Like I Need a Hole in My Head.†That series is dedicated to the horrendous side of music. I love it when an idea is validated. I just wish it didn’t have to be this one. Unfortunately, bad ideas spring from […]

After a 7-year hiatus, the original members of Rage Against the Machine re-formed at the Coachella festival in California this weekend.
In what has to be seen as a stunning development, Zach de la Rocha and Tom Morrello still don’t like U.S. President George W. Bush. There’s a fucking surprise, now isn’t it?
You won’t find […]

This year marks the 40th Anniversary of Sgt. Peppers’ Lonely Hearts Club Band and to celebrate, the BBC has gathered together some current bands to ::wait for it:: re-record the landmark album for broadcast on BBC2.
If you thought Danger Mouse’s so-called “Grey Album†was an affront to “The White Album,†The Beatles, music, nature, […]
