It Never Ends…
And sometimes that’s a good thing. I got some belated birthday gifts this week, and they are good ones. I’ll be listening to them and writing about them in the coming days.

This is radio nowhere, folks. Sorry to have gone radio silent. It’s an odd week for that to have happened with so much good music in my hands right now. I haven’t gotten to talk about the new Dylan release and I haven’t been able to fully express my love of the new Oasis record. [...]

It hasn’t been the hottest summer for new music this year so I’m already anticipating a fall/winter overflowing with essential purchases. Oct. 7th just got more expensive. I’m already buying Oasis’ Dig Out Your Soul and now there’s a new Bob Dylan collection being released that same day. The eight volume of Dylan’s “Bootleg” [...]

It’s on days like these I thank the stars above TheWifeToWhomI’mMarried is a patient, patient woman. Technically I’ve been appreciative of that for almost 10 years now, but roll with me on this one.
Last week I got a review copy (read: free copy) of the I’m Not There soundtrack (the Dylan biopic from last [...]

Welcome to the Buyer’s Remorse column for 2007. I called my shot and named my Top 10 Albums of the Year, and already I’m pissed about all the great records I didn’t get to mention. Fortunately there’s an easy remedy for that. In no particular order (unless otherwise noted), here are a [...]

That article and quote stuck with me and [...]

I’ve been kicking around what to say about Highway 61 Revisited turning 42 all morning long.
Writing about Dylan is damn difficult to do. People have been doing it for years and many have wound up looking foolish. It’s not that I’m above looking foolish but I’d rather take [...]

It was classic rock day on my iPod yesterday, at least while I was at work. Aerosmith, Bowie, Flying Burrito Brothers, Pink Floyd, The Eagles… it was just like any typical day on any typical classic rock station. Well, the bands fit that bill but not every song would be an obvious choice. [...]
