NFL, PGA TOUR, and Bet365 Announce Official Betting Partnerships

The NFL is the latest American sports league to announce official betting deals. The league announced Thursday that it will have three official betting partners. These companies will have exclusive access to NFL data, help promote the league’s relationship with the sports betting industry, and tie their brands to certain statistics. If the five-year deal works, the league will receive nearly $1 billion from its official betting partners. The NFL can opt out after three years. The NFL and its official betting partners are expected to begin working together this fall.

The PGA TOUR and bet365 recently announced a three-year marketing and content partnership. Bet365 will be the series’ first official betting operator outside of North America. Bet365, based in Stoke-on-Trent, UK, will be the exclusive provider of odds on player pages, leaderboards, and the TOURCast, a 3D rendering of every shot a golfer hits. The partnership will also extend to the TourCast shot tracking platform, which is available in markets including the UK, Ireland, and Australia.

The PGA TOUR has a robust integrity program to combat issues of player safety. This includes partnering with Genius Sports and IMG ARENA to license live scoring data. The tour also works with the National Council on Problem Gambling and the American Gaming Association, which is aligned with its Have A Game Plan campaign. By incorporating these programs into its online betting product, the TOUR has taken an important step in ensuring that it is a safe and fair place for fans to bet.
