The official poker rules are a set of rules that govern the game. Players and game providers must adhere to them to maintain the integrity of the game. If someone violates the code, they may be ejected, forced to forfeit all their poker chips, or even banned permanently.
The professional Tournament Directors Association (PTDA) manages the poker rules. It is made up of more than 2,500 members from 63 countries. They include managers of large live poker rooms and independent tournaments.
There are four basic poker games. They are draw poker, stud poker, five-card stud, and Texas hold’em. Each of these has variations.
